Ms. Colvin does it again! From start to finish, I was moved by the emotionally charged story that unfolds. As book 2 of a trilogy, the author did an artistic job of taking you deeper into the world of the immortals where I found myself falling more in love with Alex and Valeria as well as cheering on new character who unseemingly vies for the reader's affection. Throughout the book, Ms. Colvin planted well-placed seeds of intrigue keeping me curious to find answers/explanations in book 3 without detracting from the beautiful story of book 2. This book doesn't stand alone like book 1 does, but by this point, the release of book 3 is eagerly anticipated by oracle fans who want to see love conquer and the rearing head of jealousy, greed, and evil beheaded with justice.
